Golden manus® award for the FLAIR microscope

The portable microscope FLAIR emerged as the winner of the international “manus® award 2025” competition with 613 participants from 38 countries.

The jury - including representatives from the specialist media, industry, research and business - placed particular emphasis on creativity and the courage to question established industry standards and replace them with efficient alternatives.

The experts were impressed by FLAIR and praised the creative approach as well as the simple and cost-effective implementation with high social benefits.

The manus® award is presented every two years for products that become more durable, better and more sustainable through the use of igus polymer plain bearings, with a focus on economic, ecological and social benefits.
